GSIS will provide ‘ultimate customer service’ to instructors – Vice-President Sara

SF | GSIS will provide ‘ultimate customer service’ to instructors – vice president Sara | MANILA – It won’t be long before teachers and other employees of the Department of Education (DepEd) can use a special fast lane at the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Central Office and its regional branches.

The deal was made after Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte and GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso signed a MOA on Monday.

In addition to the special express lane, the MOA, which goes into effect right away, says that the GSIS hotline should have a feature just for DepEd employees. It also names special officers to handle the accounts of teachers and other DepEd employees and sets up a meeting between the DepEd and GSIS once a year.

The signing ceremony took place at the GSIS head office in Pasay City. Duterte said, “On behalf of all the teachers and, of course, the non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education, we are truly happy that we are able to finalize the MOA for the ultimate customer experience for our teaching and non-teaching personnel.”

“Our meeting today is very important, especially for government teachers and people who work for the Department of Education. This meeting, which is happening during National Teacher’s Month, is part of the Department of Education’s ongoing work with the Government Service Insurance System to address the concerns of our workers, she said.

“DepEd made up more than half of the GSIS membership.” “This is why we are so dedicated to having conversations in order to find solutions to the issues we see in our schools,” Duterte said.

According to Veloso, he is excited to work with DepEd to make things better for teachers.

“Under the leadership of our Secretary (of) Department of Education and Vice President, we are confident that constant interaction with your team will allow us to deliver the promise of a better life not only for the teachers, but also for the rest of the Filipinos,” he stated.

Veloso also said that GSIS is going to make another program that will give teachers health insurance “on top of” what PhilHealth offers. (PNA)
